Your Chicago Invisalign Dentist

At Barr & Diachenko DDS, we pride ourselves on our ability to deliver elite dental care while also offering luxurious additional services to our patients. An integral part of our work is to be mindful of advances in healthcare – exploring new and budding medical techniques to ensure that our patients receive the best dental treatments available.

Like most of our patients who struggle with crooked teeth – you probably believe that ugly wire-braces are the only solution to an uneven bite or tooth-gaps. While conventional metal braces are very effective in their own right, we believe there is a better option for you.

As Chicagoland’s leading Cosmetic and Family Dental practice, Drs. Barr and Diachenko have perfected an alternative treatment for our friends who want to straighten their teeth. Through Invisalign dental aligners, you can get the smile of you’ve always dreamed of, without having to suffer through the humiliation of having the old “bars and brackets”.

What does Invisalign do?

Invisalign aligners are the top alternative to wire braces recommended by your local dentist. They are most commonly used to correct dental concerns like:

Conditions dealing with an uneven jaw:

  • Overbite
  • Open bite
  • Underbite
  • Crossbite
  • Crowded or crooked teeth
  • Tooth gaps
  • And more

Invisalign clear dental aligners are already one of the most popular – and most efficient – oral healthcare products on the market today.

Unlike conventional wire and metal braces, Invisalign clear orthodontic appliances, are completely transparent and removable. Plus, after over two decades of seeing the aligners “in action” doctors have shown Invisalign treatments to be just as useful at resolving disorders that could have required more intrusive methods otherwise.

How does Invisalign work?

Invisalign aligners achieve their impressive results by utilizing a series of clear aligner trays that gently surround your teeth and direct them to their proper location and alignment. Tailor-made by your dentist using the latest 3-D crafting methods, you can rest easy knowing that your custom trays maintain a secure – yet comfortable – fit. Every two weeks after you receive your new aligner tray, you will be issued a fresh tray to account for all of the progress you’ve made and encourage further improvement.

You will most likely begin seeing some headway within the first weeks of treatment, however most cases require about one to one and half years of continued care by your dentist. Yet, every smile is unique and your experience may differ.

What does Invisalign cost?

The final value of an Invisalign treatment fluctuates from smile to smile and from area to area. However, you may be surprised to learn that Invisalign is practically the same cost as its old-school counterpart – braces.

Offering the same benefits of conservative wire braces, but with less discomfort and embarrassment, Invisalign treatments are almost identical in price.

As you can see, Invisalign clear retainers are easier on your wallet, mouth and self-esteem.

Invisalign FAQs:

Can I get Invisalign?
Considering the adaptability of Invisalign treatments, it’s likely that you are a prime candidate for Invisalign aligners. But – to know for sure – you should really consult with a team member of Barr & Diachenko restorative and cosmetic dental team.

I have braces, can I switch to Invisalign?
If you began improving your smile with wire braces, you can most likely switch over to Invisalign to finish your realignment. Though, you should always double check with your dentist first.
How do I maintain my Invisalign trays?

Aligners trays from Invisalign are a very low maintenance treatment option. You can purchase specialized cleaning solution, but most of our patients find that simply brushing them inside and out with their toothbrush (with toothpaste) under lukewarm water is sufficient. Also, since trays are removable, we recommend brushing and flossing your teeth as normal during treatment.
Does Invisalign require “after care”?

To keep the progress that you’ve experienced during your Invisalign treatments, we usually recommend using some sort of dental aligner as part of your smile maintenance (like conventional braces). However, an “aftercare aligner” may not be necessary in your case.
